# MetalsAPI

> A free authenticated JSON API for daily gold, silver, platinum, and palladium prices per troy ounce and gram in USD, EUR, GBP, and other supported currencies.

MetalsAPI is operated by Gold Buyer Direct. API clients authenticate with an account API key using the `X-API-Key` header or `Authorization: Bearer <api-key>`. Metal symbols are XAU, XAG, XPT, and XPD.
